Frisco has diverse multi-family housing with over 3,500 new apartment units. The median gross rent is $908 according to the ALN Systems, Inc. UpTowne Frisco will add another 300+ units to satisfy demand.

Senior Living

UpTowne Frisco is the newest Lifestyle Living Center adjacent to Pizza Hut Park's Professional Soccer Stadium. And is projected to have over 500 housing units from apartments to luxury condominiums.

Del Webb is building Frisco Lakes, a 973-acre, age restricted neighborhood. Frisco Lakes will include a variety of residential neighborhoods, an 18-hole golf course, and an open space and trails system.

Education

Schools are the basic building blocks of a community. Quality school districts attract new citizens and businesses. The citizens of Frisco continue to support our districts through bond elections and personal commitment to provide the necessary funding and leadership to build and operate the facilities required for our fast growing area.

FISD began the 2006-07 school year with a total enrollment of over 24,000 students including 993 seniors and 2,539 kindergarteners. They welcomed more than 850 new employees to the district bringing their total employment to over 3,000. FISD is the fastest growing school district in Texas, 114% in the past five years and has added 28 new schools since 1995, opening two to five campuses annually.

The Collin County Community College District has always had a commitment to quality education and preparing people for real-world job opportunities.

The District completed a $19.4 million expansion at the Preston Ridge Campus in Frisco that houses art studios, music labs, a large lecture hall, general classrooms, faculty offices and a 50,000 square foot library. The 103,000 square foot expansion makes it the second-largest campus in the district.

Dallas Baptist University opened a regional academic center in Frisco in January 2006. DBU-North in Frisco will offer four-year degrees in business administration, management, psychology and communications. Masters' degrees will be offered in education, business administration and organizational management.

Amberton University offers Bachelor and Masters degrees nearby at its new facility in Frisco. Amberton is especially recognized for its academic programs in business (BBA/MBA), counseling (MA degrees in professional counseling and school counseling), and human behavior and development (BS/MS).
